Both online and in physical stores, retailers want their customers to have easy access to their products. Online, being able to .....piXserve helps retailers collect and analyze key information to help frame consumer behavior both online and in physical stores. By scanning photos and videos of a shopping aisle, piXserve’s software identifies the specific products on display.

The data detailing the location and counts for each product is saved in a PostgreSQL database, which makes it easy to export for use by other software systems or simply to generate reports.

As an additional benefit, the piXserve data can also be correlated to Point of Sale data, which can help create more detailed analyses of the performance and effectiveness of sales/promotional campaigns. Retailers and manufacturers alike can analyze the data accrued over time, and better understand variations in store-to-store performance, and how to better plan displays and promotional materials. The object recognition performance of the piXlogic software has been outstanding in these applications.


Retail store snapshots/videos are processed by piXserve, and products are recognized. Display shows an overlay of the name of the recognized product (green) over the original image. Bounding boxes are not shown for simplicity. With high accuracy, products targeted for recognition are automatically recognized by the software

The recognition data generated by piXserve is stored in database form and can be exported to support customer workflow requirements. For example, it can be compared to store planogram information to identify discrepancies and help staff verify compliance to contractual requirements. The piXserve generated data can also be used to help understand and correlate Point of Sale data. Combined, these data can help analysts better understand the performance and effectiveness of sales/promotional campaigns. Retailers and manufacturers alike can analyze the data accrued over time, and better sense of variations in store-to-store performance, and factors that can help better plan displays and promotional materials.
